10th Paderewski Lyceum is a state-owned secondary school following the Polish National Curriculum Programme. Currently, the school has 550 students aged 16-19 divided into 17 classes. The education lasts for three years. Before graduating, students are subject to a final examination, the matura.
The school takes pride in its long tradition of relations with foreign schools which facilitate foreign language learning and broaden the knowledge of other countries. Each year students take part in exchanges with schools in Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Hungary and Denmark. Apart from that, pupils attend international conferences in Rome, Hamburg, Lubeck and Alkmaar where they are able to perfect their language skills while working on a variety of social, political and economic issues.
The students participate in numerous national and international competitions related to different subjects. Every year they win prizes and achieve high results in language competitions (Polish, English, German, Spanish, French), geography, biology as well as sports.
The school provides an opportunity to develop students' interests and passions by engaging them in a wide range of extra-curricular activities. These include, among others: the School Magazine, the Film Club, the School Choir, the IT Club, the European Club, the 'Scrabble' Club and the School Sports Club offering a variety of sports activities such as basketball, volleyball, handball, aerobics and skiing.
